James's main interests are in the philosophy of mind and philosophy of psychology. He focuses on perceptual experience, including auditory experience, and he's writing a dissertation about spatial awareness. His wider interests include ancient philosophy, descriptive metaphysics and conceptual knowledge.

This semester, he is the GSI for Daniel Warren's Kant course (Phil 178). Office hours: Mondays 3-4 pm and Tuesdays 1-2 pm, in 301 Moses Hall
