How to Improve Voting

Philosophers and logicians are well suited to tackle an important practical problem: the improvement of voting procedures. I will report on work in progress (including https://arxiv.org/abs/2008.08451 and https://arxiv.org/abs/2004.02350), joint with Eric Pacuit (University of Maryland), arguing for a particular voting procedure for elections in which voters rank the candidates.
