Katharina Kaiser studied Philosophy, German Literature, and Physics at the University of Hamburg, where she worked as an Assistant (Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin) in the Department of Philosophy after receiving her degree. She taught in the German Department at Berkeley from 2006 to 2008. Her research and teaching interests encompass a range of topics in the history of philosophy, aesthetics, literary modernism, and the avant-garde.
