He is working on a dissertation that examines the distinction between practical and theoretical reasoning, and the significance of this distinction for problems about freedom and normativity. The dissertation is focused partly on Kant and partly on Kantian themes in contemporary discussions. His advisors are Jay Wallace (Chair), Hannah Ginsborg, and Kinch Hoekstra.
